An Evening with
Cannon & Ball 'Britain's own Kings of Comedy' have worked together for over thirty-five years, achieving a string of honours that puts them among the all-time greats of show business. Their television comedy series has run for eleven years, they have starred in several Royal Variety Performances and they have been guests on all the major television shows.
It is, however, as the undisputed kings of live entertainment that Cannon & Ball have set standards that will probably never be equalled. A six-week run at London's Dominion Theatre saw every seat sold before opening night; their pantomime at the world-famous London Palladium broke all previous box office records; and they created the record for the largest box-office takings in a single week in British theatrical history. One recent working year included a season in Florida, a twenty-five week summer season at Blackpool's Grand Theatre in their own Rock 'n Roll spectacular, a working cruise, and their smash hit pantomime Babes in the Wood.
Bobby & Tommy are committed Christians and enjoy using their comic talents to show that God's love and forgiveness is real and available to everyone. Their debut Gospel show covered a staggering 47 dates across the nation in 1995 and was one of the biggest Gospel tours ever produced. It was the subject for a BBC special documentary and became the number one bestseller video of its kind.
Another first was their unique chat show, An Audience with Cannon & Ball. Launched in 1997 it has toured every year ever since 'We want people to know that it's not boring being a Christian, in fact it's great!' Tommy's Christian faith has been the anchor in his life for the past eight years.
Their autobiography Rock on Tommy gives both members of the famous duo the opportunity tell their own individual story of how they took the world by storm and the devastating effect it had on their private lives.
Coinciding with the release of Rock on Tommy, Tommy Cannon is making certain dates available in order to talk about his own life and faith in one of the world's most glamorous yet deadly professions. In a light-hearted, intimate evening surrounded with great laughter and outstanding song, Tommy talks openly to Chris Gidney (Director of Christians in Entertainment) about his struggles, his fame and his Christianity.
This warm-hearted and entertaining event will intrigue and attract the general public, and will be an effective introduction to your church and to the gospel.
