Pam Rhodes -
Your Favourite Hymns of Praise
Pam Rhodes is well known as the familiar face of BBC Television’s Songs of Praise, and brings a unique experience to your venue in this event designed especially for local churches. The event (afternoon or evening) can be run along the lines of the television programme, except there will be no cameras! Subjects covered and the interviewees will all come from your own community.
Depending on your reason for the event, the hymns and the interviews will all contribute to that theme – perhaps a special anniversary for the church; a fund-raiser for a special cause; an ecumenical outreach which might draw in a wider audience; or a celebration to mark a special event, like a flower festival, a patron saint’s day or a town-wide festival.
Pam will help your interviewees to tell their story briefly but in an entertaining and involving way, and help them to bring out the importance of their faith in what they’ve been through.
Pam Rhodes –Your Favourite Hymns of Praise is an excellent outreach event, designed to appeal to the man and woman on the street and can be enjoyed by all ages and backgrounds.

An Evening with Pam Rhodes
This more intimate occasion involves Pam talking to the audience with lots to make them laugh, and quite a bit that is thought-provoking. She shares reflections on a very varied career – during which she has met a rich variety of characters from the Pope to Dolly Parton - and includes a fascinating insight into the experience of presenting Songs of Praise for twenty five years.
Pam has her own daily interview series on Lifestyle Television. She also regularly appears on BBC Radio 2, Premier Radio, ITV and BFBS Television and has hosted TV recordings in venues such as the Golden Hall in Vienna, the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Albert Hall in London. Pam has also established herself as a mainstream author in recent years, with five novels and nine factual books under her belt. |
